ONE QUESTION. ONE SMALL DISCOVERY.
Your 20-minute session
This is a preparation checklist, not a forecast. Confirm that your target is visible locally. Allow extra preparation and dark-adaptation time as needed.
Your selections stay in this tab’s memory and reset on reload. No location is requested.
Bring back a useful observation
Give yourself one question to investigate, such as whether supporting your elbows makes a binocular view easier to sketch. Record what you saw separately from what you think caused it. Include the local time, broad viewing direction, equipment, and any clouds or nearby lights.
If your target is hidden, adapt the session: map the visible horizon or practice setting up your equipment. A short honest note is more useful than filling a page with details you could not distinguish. Never point optical equipment at the Sun during these nighttime activities.
